Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV2 Hiab Driver to join our team in. This role involves operating a flatbed lorry equipped with HIab crane, delivering goods to various locations whilst ensuring safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess valid driving credentials, experience in commercial driving, and familiarity with delivery operations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed lorry fitted with HIab crane to carry out deliveries across designated routes in
• Load and unload goods using the HIab crane, ensuring secure handling of all cargo
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and driving legislation
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
• Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required to ensure operational readiness

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles fitted with HIab cranes
• Strong knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures using HIab equipment
• Valid HGV2 (Category C) licence with relevant HIab certification
• Prior experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high safety standards
• Physical fitness to handle lifting tasks associated with cargo handling and vehicle checks
