Abacus Employment Services are currently recruiting for Core Makers on behalf of our client, a well-established metal foundry based in Portway, Andover.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team with the potential for a permanent position.
The Role:
As a Core Maker, you will be responsible for producing sand cores used in the casting process, working closely with moulding and casting teams to support daily production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing sand cores using core boxes and specialist equipment
- Preparing and assembling cores for moulding and casting
- Inspecting cores to ensure they meet quality standards
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Ability to carry out manual work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
- Previous foundry or core making experience is advantageous but not essential – full training provided
