Key Account Manager – Harrods

Abacus Employment Services are honoured to be the sole supplier to Harrods Distribution Centre in Thatcham since 2012.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our successful team and be the main point of contact for this prestigious client.

Your role will involve planning recruitment campaigns, resourcing of suitable applicants, running inductions for new starters, attending regular meetings on site, communicating daily with our temporary work force and the managers of each department within Harrods.

Alongside this, administration and attention to detail is vital. You will be working on our recruitment database, managing rotas and candidate profiles and completing weekly KPI’s. At seasonal peaks, you will also be leading a team of resourcers and administration staff.

Ideally candidates will be from a recruitment background, but an account management and customer service background would also be of interest. If you are confident, personable and friendly then we would love to hear from you.

Warehouse Operative

£9.50 Days  or  £10.50 Nights

Working for the world’s leading luxury retailer, Harrods,  at their Distribution Centre in Thatcham to support them through their busiest time of the year.

Full training is provided – no experience required.

Candidates will either be picking items from the warehouse or packing customer orders to fulfil online orders.

These are temporary roles that will run through until January 2022

Immediate starts are available and inductions take place every week

37.5 hours per week, working 5 days per week which includes every other weekend.

You will work a rotating shift pattern – 0700 – 1500 one week and 1500 – 2300 the following week

Night shifts also available : 2300-0700 Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday

Paid induction and Harrods High Vis provided

Staff restaurant on site and free secure car parking

Operations Manager

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for day to day operations of the two sites distribution contract to include:

Resource planning and management, providing operational floor presence, communication between the two sites and Head Office, developing and motivating a team which will grow over the coming weeks and months, health and safety, compliance, productivity, liaising with clients and resolving issues,  employee relations.

Candidates will require experience within an Operations Manager or equivalent role.

As Operations Team Leader you will be responsible for the warehouse and transport operations at this site for the customer.  This is very much a coordination role, overseeing the effective loading of pallets on to the correct vehicles, ensuring paperwork is complete and accurate, liaising with Head Office and coordinating with the clients staff within the Warehouse and Transport teams.

You will need great communication skills and be an effective organiser.

Ideally you will have worked as a Team Leader or will be looking for your next career move.

The role will involve supervision of vehicle movements, managing the flow of activity, loading, planning and trunking between sites, leading a team of afternoon HGV Drivers, communications between several sites, developing and managing relationships with drivers, customers, transport managers and clerks and customer services teams, effective and safe loading of pallets, employee relations and communications and fleet planning.

Candidates will require experience within an Operations Supervisor or equivalent role.
