Factory Operative / Sheet Metal Worker
Are you looking for a hands-on role within manufacturing?
Our client is a well-established ductwork manufacturer looking for a reliable and motivated Factory Operative to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a factory, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or sheet metal environment. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Weekly pay
The Role
Working as part of the production team, you will be involved in the manufacture of high-quality ductwork products. Duties will include:
- Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Grinding, finishing and preparing metal components
- Measuring materials accurately
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Assisting with other factory duties as required
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience in any of the following:
- Manufacturing or production
- Sheet metal or fabrication
- Engineering or assembly
- Machine operating
- Using hand and power tools
- Reading technical drawings (advantageous but not essential)
You will also have:
- A good eye for detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good practical skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
