We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician of behalf of one of our clients to join their manufacturing team in Downton, Salisbury. This role involves assembling components and products with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within a dynamic warehouse environment.
The Role is Monday to Friday, no weekends required.
Mon-Thurs 08.00-16.30, Friday 08.00-15.30
Temporary position for approximately 4-6 weeks. – Could lead to ongoing or permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assemble various components and products according to technical specifications and work instructions. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks. Inspect assembled parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Follow health and safety protocols at all times during the assembly process.
Skills
Mechanical/Electrical assembly experience or a practical mind, good dexterity and interest in this type of work Experience using hand tools such as hand, power and crimping tools. Proficiency with power tools relevant to assembly tasks. Previous experience in assembly roles or warehouse environments is desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
