We are seeking a professional HGV2 Driver on behalf of our client to join their logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a flatbed lorry, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually
- Conduct pre-journey inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness
- Secure cargo properly to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Adhere to all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation
Requirements
- Valid HGV2 (Category C) licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for commercial vehicles
- Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and professional attitude
- Prior experience with delivery routes and customer service is advantageous
