Abacus are looking for a Reach Truck & Counterbalance FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative for our client based in Newbury, within the food production and distribution sector who are also happy to carry out general warehouse operative duties at their busy site .
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods
- Moving stock within the warehouse and storage areas
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Assisting with goods-in and goods-out operations
- Carrying out stock checks and inventory control
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety and food safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklift licences (essential)
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
