Machine Operative

Abacus Employment are currently seeking an experienced SMT Machine Operator to join our clients fast-paced production team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the SMT line, from setup to production, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load feeders, trays, and PCBs for SMT production
• Set up and operate paste stencil and SMT machines
• Create and run production programs
• Operate reflow ovens and manage output
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
• Ensure high-quality, consistent output within target assembly times

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar SMT/PCB assembly role
• Strong knowledge of SMT components and assembly processes
• Ability to read and follow work/build instructions
• Comfortable using machine control software and learning new systems
• Clear verbal communication skills

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, flexible, and capable of multitasking under pressure
