Abacus Employment Services are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/Van Driver to join one of our clients in the Thatcham area. This is a permanent job opportunity.
Requirements;
- No specific experience is required, however you will need to have some van driving experience and some basic warehouse experience. Full training will be provided.
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points (only points for speeding will be accepted). All other driving convictions are not accepted
- Physically fit as the role includes heavy lifting (up to 15kg boxes)
- This role is subject to security, police and financial backgrounds checks
- Must have good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Hours; All days are 8am - 5pm
This role will require you to work a 3 week rotating shift pattern
Week 1; Monday -Sunday
Week 2; Any days of your choice (For example, Monday - Wednesday, Wednesday - Friday.
Week 3; Monday - Friday
Responsibilities;
- During week 1, will be van driving a small van. This will include 2 drops in Wales. You will also be rota'ed on call out during this week
- Weeks 2-3, will be working in the warehouse. Duties include preparing orders, picking orders, adding orders onto the system
Pay;
£26,164 per year
An additional payment of £35 will be made for being on call. If a call out occurs, this will be paid as overtime.
