Pool Attendant

A well respected hotel is seeking a pool attendant for on a temporary contract.

Paying £9.00 per hour

Hotel operating days are Monday to Sunday between the hours of 06:30-14:30 or 14:30 – 23:00.

Main duties are;

  • To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
  • To greet guests on arrival in a warm, welcoming, professional and friendly manner.
  • To ensure that guests are checked in / out correctly and with the minimum delay.
  • To answer the telephone in a warm and friendly manner and to direct calls appropriately.
  • To take messages accurately when required.
  • To ensure efficient and courteous handling of all appointment inquiries/bookings.
  • To ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the tracking systems.
  • To ensure the efficient handling and security of all cash and credit card transactions.
  • To ensure the efficient handling and security of all keys, floats.
  • To ensure presentation of the entire is always of the highest standard and is maintained and checked daily.
  • To ensure that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene cleaning schedules are implemented and records kept.
  • To undertake any other tasks as specified by the management team.

Distribution Centre Supervisor

Due to continued growth our client in Basingstoke are looking to add to their current management team.

The role is a temp to perm position paying £9.50 to £10.00 depending on experience, after a successful 12 week period the full time salary is £22,600.

Your will be required to work Monday to Friday  and every 4th Saturday on either of the following shifts; 0600-1500 or 1100-2000.

The main responsibilities of the Distribution Centre Supervisor are;

  • Proactively contribute to the day to day management of health and safety with in the distribution centre
  • Undertake the unloading and receipt for all goods in to the distribution centre
  • Oversee outbound orders and make sure all information is passed to the home deliveries team
  • Undertake quality inspections of goods for delivery
  • Assist and support the distribution centre manager
  • Manage and monitor all distribution centre operative

This is a temp to perm position paying £8.21, after a successful 12 weeks you will receive a full time salary of £20,410.

The main responsibilities are;

  • Provide an excellent customer experience, ensuring that our customers furniture installation is enjoyable
  • Assist the driver to make multiple deliveries daily
  • Work with the delivery and warehouse teams to load and unload furniture onto our modern fleet of vehicles
  • Carefully install furniture into homes, preserving the quality of our products and surrounding decor
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to
  • Co-ordinate deliveries to a schedule

You will be required to work 46 hours per week across 4 shifts (12 hour days) which also includes 2 Saturdays out of 4.

You must have the following;

  • High customer service skills
  • Experience in a previous role
  • Can do attitude
  • Willingness to learn

7.5 Tonne Driver

Due to continued growth Abacus are currently recruiting for a full time 7.5 Tonne driver.

This is a temp to perm position paying £10.00 to £12.00, after a successful 12 weeks you will receive a full time salary of £27,300.

The main responsibilities are;

  • Provide an excellent customer experience, ensuring that our customers furniture installation is enjoyable
  • Make multiple deliveries daily

  • Valid CPC
  • Valid Tacho card

Branch Support / Administrator

Abacus Employment Services have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Support / Administrator become available in our Andover Branch on a fixed term 6 month contract!

The role will involve meeting and speaking to potential new temporary workers, liaising with our client / customer database whilst ensuring you are working to best practice & following employment legislation at all times.

A successful individual will need to be proactive about ensuring tasks are completed and have strong communication skills.

Recruitment Support Administrator

At Abacus Employment Services we are currently looking for an Administrator to join our busy and fast paced Newbury office.

This role will be offering support to the Account Manager, working in a small team to ensure that all temporary requirements are met whilst ensuring consistently high standards are adhered to.

We are looking for an outgoing and organised individual who will be able to adapt to the range of tasks this role has to offer:

Duties include:

  • Resourcing staff
  • Face to face interviews
  • Data Entry using our in house recruitment system
  • Booking Staff into Shifts
  • Payroll
  • Answering queries via phone and email
  • General administration

Hours:  We are looking for the successful candidate to work flexible shifts.  Predominantly these will be Monday – Friday, but some weekend shifts will be included.

Hours will vary between 0700 – 1800

The ideal candidate will have the below skills:

  • Well organised, able to multi task and meet deadlines
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team & individual
