Key Account Manager – Harrods

Abacus Employment Services are honoured to be the sole supplier to Harrods Distribution Centre in Thatcham since 2012.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our successful team and be the main point of contact for this prestigious client.

Your role will involve planning recruitment campaigns, resourcing of suitable applicants, running inductions for new starters, attending regular meetings on site, communicating daily with our temporary work force and the managers of each department within Harrods.

Alongside this, administration and attention to detail is vital. You will be working on our recruitment database, managing rotas and candidate profiles and completing weekly KPI’s. At seasonal peaks, you will also be leading a team of resourcers and administration staff.

Ideally candidates will be from a recruitment background, but an account management and customer service background would also be of interest. If you are confident, personable and friendly then we would love to hear from you.

Job Description

Abacus Employment are currently recruiting for a number of Hgv1 Drivers for our client based in Thatcham

Regular on-going long term work available with immediate starts

Day shifts available with a range of start times across 7 days a week, with regular weekday and weekend work available.

Hgv1 Drivers looking for Full time and Part time hours are welcome to apply!

Our Client operates throughout the year and offers each driver with a long term, ongoing assignments.

Duties:

As an HGV 1 Driver, successful candidates will be completing 2 /3 store deliveries daily.

Full training will be provided

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • 18 months HGV 1 driving experience
  • No more than 6 points
  • Up to date CPC and tacho

Food Manufacturing – Senior Technical Assistant

We are hiring a Technical Senior Assistant for a well-established family business, producing award-winning and high-quality food.

You will be an enthusiastic, reliable, and a conscientious individual who has a keen eye for detail as well as a strong work ethic.

Shifts – Monday to Friday. 07:30AM to 16:00PM.

Pay – £12.00p/h. After 12 months this increases to £13.00p/h.

Key accountabilities:

Checking production paperwork and updating production records

Supplier & Ingredient support including:

  • Sourcing NPD samples and manage the booking in / checking process.
  • Assisting with the evaluation of new raw materials and new suppliers.
  • Assisting with the purchasing of all raw materials in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Updating existing suppliers’ files and ingredient specifications

 

Production recipe updating and creation as required.

Assistance with projects:

  • Update finished product specification files;
  • Annual shelf life review;
  • Ingredient and Product Shelf Life Extensions;
  • Prepare reports for annual QA topic reviews;

 

Other technical, quality, purchasing and planning projects that arise over time.

Day to day stock control and management

Minute taking and Participation in management meetings (when appropriate), including providing all relevant information regarding production and quality issues for the agenda.

Supervision and Assistance with stock takes.

Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are always maintained inclusive of HACCP.

Target zero customer complaints related to quality issues etc

Ability to communicate at all times to ensure the smooth operation of the department

Food Manufacturing – Production Cook

We are hiring an experienced Production Cook for a well-established family business, producing award-winning and high-quality food.

You will have a genuine passion for combining the very best ingredients to create exceptional recipes and a strong enthusiasm to provide new and innovative ideas.

Shifts – Monday to Friday. 06:00AM to 14:30PM. 42.5hrs per week minimum.

A flexible attitude is key as you will be required to work overtime whilst training and when the business is busy.

Pay – £10.50p/h. After 12 months this increases to £11.00p/h.

Ideal candidate:

This is a general production assistant role with added cook responsibilities. Working with a small-medium sized team, the company encourage everyone to learn wider parts of production e.g., filling, capping, etc. However, the core tasks will be the cooking ones.

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Physically fit as products are made in large batches which is often heavy.
  • Strong understanding of food and people safety.
  • A good level of maths and writing skills as accuracy is important.
  • Ability to weigh ingredients, follow a recipe and processes. Record information on recipe sheets and conduct testing of pH.
  • Follow policies and procedures and complete start up checks each day.
  • Prepared to carry out cleaning between batches (2-3 times a week) and at the end of the day.

We are looking for team leaders in the warehouse to support a flourishing company in the Newbury area. The role is to support the warehouse manager with stock control and team supervision in a full time role.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Goods In & Out
  • Coordinating the a team supplying production
  • Ensuring team meets weekly requirements
  • Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met
  • Data Entry
  • Liaising with Customers to meet their requirements
  • Quality and cost control including ongoing stock control and KPI’s
  • Work closely with production supervisor’s to ensure all production requirements are met

Your duties will be varied and not limited to the above.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Strong people and motivational skills
  • Supervisory experience minimum 1 year
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislature
  • Understanding warehouse set up and internal operation
  • Flexible, positive and diligent attitude
